LIGHT's purpose is to offer faith-based support and activities for Columbus and Phenix City area homeschool families.
LIGHT Membership for the 2016-2017 school year runs from August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2017. The annual membership fee for the 2016/17 academic year is $15 if paid by July 24, 2016. If paid July 25, 2016 or later the fee is $18.
As a LIGHT member, you will be added to our email list so that we can keep you informed of LIGHT events and other community events that might be of interest to you. We coordinate events for homeschool students of all ages including seasonal and holiday parties, LIGHT Teen Group events, ITBS Testing, Science Fair, Spelling Bee, Kindergarten Graduation, Field Trips, Park Day and more.
There is a LIGHT Yahoo Group available for our members to comunicate directly with one another through email. The purpose of this elist is to provide members of LIGHT a place to discuss homeschooling issues and to ask questions of other members. Once a member, you can request to be added to our Yahoo group by clicking on the 'Yahoo Group' link.
We have ongoing events for our LIGHT Teens. Events such as monthly lunch get togethers, seasonal parties, and other fun events are sprinkled in throughout the year. If you have a teen, please use the 'LIGHT Teens on Facebook' button to request to join our LIGHT Teen Facebook Group.
Membership in the Yahoo and Facebook groups is limited to LIGHT members in attempt to protect the privacy of our member families.
