Statement of Faith
We believe:
1. The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and constitutes completed and
final revelation. The Bible, in its original autograph, is without error in whole or in part.
2. God has existed from all eternity in one nature and three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was God come in human flesh being fully God and fully man.
3. All men are in violation of God’s righteous requirement and His holy character both by nature and act, and are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man’s sin through His substitutionary death on the cross; the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent, visible, bodily resurrection.
4. Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone.

Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality
We believe that God wonderfully creates each person with an immutable biological sex – male or female. These two distinct, complementary sexes together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Genesis 2:18-25). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4). We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.
We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God (Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
God has determined the life of each person and meticulously chosen whether they would be male or female. We believe that only biological biblical pronouns should be used to address individuals (specifically males: he/him; females: she/her). Any deviation or use of pronouns not aligned with God’s original biblical design is in direct rebellion against God. (Romans 1:28-32)
We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of LIGHT Homeschool Support Group, it is imperative that all members of LIGHT agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality (Matthew 5:16; Philippians 2:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:22).
